Brontëa Tea Rooms – Café & Restaurant in Haworth
Brontëa Tea Rooms is a cosy café and restaurant located in the heart of Haworth, the beautiful village that was home to the renowned Brontë sisters. We specialise in serving delightful afternoon teas, as well as hosting events such as birthday parties, Christmas celebrations, and weddings. Our inviting atmosphere & dedication to quality and value for money makes us the perfect destination for those seeking a taste of Brontë country.
We hope you have a wonderful time, and can enjoy this historic building built and owned in 1884 by the Merrall family who were prominent mill owners in the late 19th century. The building is the work of a Keighley architect JB Bailey in the style of Northern Manor Houses, popular with wealthy mill owners. The building is a mixture of Classical and exaggerated Jacobean.

Traditional Afternoon Tea – £20
Baked plain scone served with clotted cream and strawberry Jam, a variety of sweet treats and a medley of sandwiches: cream cheese and cucumber, egg mayonnaise, tuna mayonnaise. Served with a pot of your choice of our speciality tea.
Indian Afternoon Tea – £20
Chicken samosa & veg roll served with mint sauce. Accompanied by baked scone with strawberry jam & clotted cream, along with a variety of sweet treats. Served with a pot of your choice of our speciality tea.
Yorkshire Cream Tea – £8
Served with your choice of our speciality tea. Baked scone with strawberry jam & clotted cream.
Brontëa Tea rooms cannot guarantee that any of our products are free from allergens, as a wide variety of ingredients are handled in the same space in our kitchens.
Events Bookings (Ballroom Hire) – 4 hrs |£250
This venue is versatile & suitable for Birthdays, Family Celebrations, Corporate Events, and Private Parties. It provides flexible seating arrangements and the option to customise the space to suit different event needs. The venue allows you to choose your own caterers or use the in-house catering team. Packages are available from £12 to £65 per head with a minimum guest requirement of 15 guests.
